This morning we got up reasonably early and went for a run. Well, we tried to go for a run. All the cycling I’ve done over the past few months has caught up with my knees, and my right one is really playing up. Defeated after only 200m we pivoted and did a workout instead which involved finding a place with not too many passers by and doing a round of press-ups, sit-ups, squats and dips. We’re going to start doing some strength building exercises because Tom tells me it’s important past 40, to which I always remind him he’s the 40 year old in the family as I’ve still for 3.5 months to go. A mere youngin’ in comparison. 😉
Anyhow, I digress. The main task for today was provisioning. We walked along to Alcampo, which is like a massive supermarket with everything in it. We filled up the trolley caught the bus back to marina, dumped the stuff and headed straight back again for Round 2. This time we underestimated how much stuff we had and it was really painful lugging it back home.
Tom nipped off to buy some NMEA 2000 field installable connectors. If you’re wondering what the hell they are, I am too. I’ll tell you when I find out. Meanwhile I started figuring out where to pack all of the stuff away, and after 4 hours of packing and repacking, it was all stowed. We have no clue where anything is now but we’ll learn soon enough.
