After not leaving the boat yesterday we decided that today we really needed some exercise. This afternoon we headed into Pollença and this time avoided getting soaked in the dinghy with our newfound technique of both sitting towards the back, obvious really. Then with the help of Google Maps we found a walk which would take us out of the town, through a valley and up over to the north side of the island. It started off on nice, well made roads but quickly turned into what felt like an almost vertical rock climb. We passed a few tired looking people teetering their way down who assured us it evened out, eventually. At the top, almost an hour later we were rewarded with stunning views of Cala Molins. We headed back down and into the nearest bar for a much needed sit down and drink.
Germany were playing Mexico in their first round World Cup game so we stayed to watch and were joined by one of our friends, also anchored here, who we met in Badalona. Sadly, Germany lost. ?
Once back on the boat we had a good tidy up in preparation for our crossing to Menorca tomorrow. We’re predicted good wind, 15/20 knots from the north off the beam, but also a pretty decent swell so no big breakfast for us!
Good driving?
