Today we allowed ourselves a lazy day in preparation for our passage back to Badalona tomorrow. After a late night we had a bit of a lie in, had breakfast on the boat and then headed ashore for some much needed showers. It’s amazing how something as simple as a proper shower when you’re living on a boat and watching every drop of water feels like such a luxury.
We walked around Port Andraxt and got the feeling it’s definitely a bit more upmarket here, quite a contrast to our stay in Palma. The quaint, narrow and car-less streets are lined with boutique shops and inviting restaurants. Its easy to see how you could spend quite a bit of money here, having a nice lunch, few glasses of wine … but as we’re trying to stretch our budget as far as we can, we decided to just go to the supermarket and have lunch on the boat instead.
The afternoon we spend napping, writing the weeks edition of Sail Fast, Live Slow and preparing food for our passage tomorrow. The wind forecast still looks favourable for a nice sail back to Badalona tomorrow, let’s keep fingers crossed it’ll stay that way!
We also rigged up some safety line at the bow of the boat. Either one of us usually ends up there for some reason while we’re sailing so the idea is to make the gaps a little smaller and harder to fall in-between. A trick we learnt on the Fastnet 🙂
Na dann viel Glück bei eurer Rückreise?
