On Tuesday we sailed north from Zakynthos to the first anchorage in the Gulf of Patras called Missolonghi. We’d waited a few days for favourable wind and it paid off as we sailed the full 35NM. The entrance to the anchorage is an interesting one as its down a long buoyed channel flanked either side by shallow salt marshes and huts on stilts. It felt like something you’d see more in Thailand than Greece. We anchored and went ashore for dinner, both feeling really wobbly on our legs!
